Sneha at Paadal.com Official website
Career
Sneha, began her film career in 2001 film Malayalam film as a supporting artiste, however her major breakthrough came later that year in a Tamil language film, Ennavale opposite Madhavan. Later that year, she starred in the successful venture, Aanandham as well as a prestigious project for K. Balachandar in Parthale Paravasam, she finished the year with a foray into Telugu cinema, making two appearances in notable films.
In 2002, Sneha broke into the "big league". Unlike many other top actresses of her time, her acting was praised, and was likened to a modern day Revathi Menon. A total of 8 films, were released including her first major hit in Telugu with Hanuman Junction as well as other hits in Unnai Ninaithu and April Madhathil. Prestigious films with top actors also followed, such as King and Pammal K. Sambandam with Vikram and Kamal Haasan respectively.
After a successful previous year, Sneha became more aware with her choice of films, with only two releasing in 2003. The first being with a big actor, Vijay in Vaseegara, the second being a heroine-orientated double role in Parthiban Kanavu. The film became a commercial hit as well as winning plaudits for Sneha's portrayal of the double role.
2004 was a mixed year for the actress, with Jana, Bose, Venky and Adhu, a horror film, all failing at the box-office. However, Vasool Raja MBBS opposite Kamal Haasan became a commercial success, while her guest role in Autograph, another successful project, was praised.
Though she has acted in many Telugu films, the success of K Ragavendra Rao-directed mythological movie Sri Ramadasu (2006) helped Sneha to firm up her foothold in Telugu cinema. Her role in the movie, steeped in the bhakti culture, was well appreciated by moviegoers. Meanwhile, her Mollywood flick with Mammootty, Thuruppugulan (2006), was also a big hit. In Pudhupettai (2006), Sneha as a battered and bruised prostitute is a revelation. Then, she acted in Thankar bachan's Pallikoodam in which she played as a village teacher.

Shahrukh Khan Gauri - The Real Love Story |
The relationship between the two had been kept under wraps, and understandably so because Gauri’s parents would not have accepted it. Or, so it seemed for quite some time even while the twosome continued to meet up for six long years. The youngest in a Punjabi joint family with around 15 members, that Gauri would marry someone from her community was a foregone conclusion.
As for Shahrukh, he was willing to do anything to get her in his life, and it is said that he had entered Gauri’s household by posing as Abhimanyu during the girl’s birthdayparty. Abhimanyu…. Who? Yes! The character that Shahrukh had just started to play in the television serial Fauji that was being directed by the retired Lieutenant Colonel Raj Kapoor. The serial based on life in the army had made Shahrukh’s character really popular, and people around even said that he looked quite a bit like Dilip Kumar when he attended the birthday party in Gauri’s house that day.
The story of Shahrukh and Gauri’s relationship continued to add a new chapter with every passing day, and not all of them were bliss-laden as is the case with all human relationships. He was tremendously, in fact uncomfortably possessive about his lady love, so much that he would pick up a quarrel with her even if she let her hair down… literally. Finally, Gauri lost her cool and realized that she wanted to get away from the emotional bedlam in 1989. Without informing Shahrukh, she came down to Mumbai with her pals just a day after the former had celebrated her birthday in his room by decorating it the best way he could have and giving her lots of presents.
It was when Gauri had left for Mumbai that Cupid shot that one decisive arrow. Shahrukh just had gone to the city of dreams where his love had gone, and he ended up telling everything to his mother who was supportive and open-minded as always. Not only did she give her son Rs 10,000, she also advised him to go to Mumbai and get his love back. Shahrukh went there with his friends, and what followed sounds like a chapter straight out of fictional romantic folklore.
In the huge city, he and his friends kept looking for Gauri, and especially around the beachees because of his awareness that she was attracted to them in a big way. On the last day of his stay in Mumbai, since he had run short of financial fuel obviously, a cab guy advised him to go to a place called the Aksa Beach. From there, they ferried across to a place called Gorai and, after searching frantically, managed to track her down when she was standing in the water! Once the duo saw each other, they embraced each other and started crying. That was the defining moment in their relationship, because it was clear to both of them that they need to be with each other all their lives.
The problem the couple apprehended was because of Gauri’s set-up that consisted of simple people who were loyal to Indian social norms and did not question the tenets of tradition: which, in this case, implied that having a son-in-law who belonged to a different religion. This was a thought that would have never crossed their minds. But the time when the twosome had to marry had to surface some day or the other, and that did happen in 1991. The couple went ahead and put up a notice for a court marriage which, according to the Indian marital laws, meant that their names were displayed in front of the court in a notice for one long month.
Shahrukh and Gauri had to hide the notice from their parents, so they did the most obvious thing. They gave a address and said it was their own. The poor fellow had to suffer the repercussions. The parochial among the Hindus made a group and shouted in front of his house, and so did their Muslim counterpart. During those 30 days, the life of his friend was absolutely miserable, but then both Shahrukh and Gauri did not have a choice because they were really concerned about the latter’s parents.
Those 30 days proved to be critical for the young couple. They worked hard towards convincing Gauri’s parents, and eventually managed to make them see their point of view. That they would have a court marriage after the notice period got over was decided upon, and it was on August 26 that this ceremony was finally solemnised in the court. They also got married in keeping with Hindu and Muslim traditions seperately. In fact, it was Gauri who insisted that they should have a Muslim wedding too, and the roots of a secular family set-up had been firmly established be them.
This was the time when Shahrukh was making his initial forays in Bollywood, and among his forthcoming films were Deewana and Raju Bangaya Gentleman while he was shooting for Dil Aashna Hai as well.

Bollywood Actress Sameera Reddy Interview |
Telugu Actress Sameera Reddy interview
A home in Chennai?
I love everything about Chennai — place, food, and people. I’m very close to my family and will stay wherever my family stays. So, I am unlikely to relocate from Bombay, but certainly wouldn’t mind a second house in Chennai.
Both Gautham Menon and Surya have talked a lot about Nenjukkul Peidhidum (in Vaaranam Aayiram). How did you feel doing the song?
I really enjoyed it. It was a whole new experience for me; we shot it on a train. It is a modern new age song with expression and simplicity.
Did you relate to this song, which is about love at first sight? Do you believe in it?
Yes I did. Yes I do!
Did you have a problem about Vaaranam Aayiram being a three-heroine subject?
No, I had no problem whatsoever. I loved my role as well as the script. It was a very performance-oriented role.
I’m a big fan of Kakha Kakha. And it’s great to be a part of Surya’s film.
Do you find Surya hot?
My first reaction was that he is a very sweet and down-to-earth person. He is good at what he does. The six-pack just adds the icing on the cake.
You’ve worked in the film industries of several regions. Which one did you most enjoy working in?
It’s got to be Hindi all the way.
You Reddy sisters are a formidable trio when it comes to talent and fame. How well do you bond with Sushma and Meghana?
I am very close to both of them. I seek advice from both, depending on the situation. But at the end of the day, we are three strong-headed independent women with totally different personalities.
You had once said you are a one-man-woman? Is that still valid?
Oh yes. I still stand by that strongly.
After Musafir, you had vowed never to get into erotic scenes again? Has there been a rethink on that?
No, there’s no rethink at all. I entered the industry with the Aur Ahista video by Pankaj Udhas and people loved me in it. I played a simple girl. So, I don’t see any reason why they should be any change of stance. As far as the audience goes, they will like even a saree-clad female in a modern movie if they are talented and have performed well.
You are often called the desi J Lo...
I like dancing and I love J Lo. I love her music, her style. Being compared to her is a matter of honour and privilege.
Are catfights common in Bollywood?
Catfights are common and even I was dragged into it once. But I try to stay as far away from it as is possible in this industry.
We’ve heard you have a terrific nose for business...
My first love is business. I have a lot of ideas in mind but I will step into it when the time is right.
You often walk in your sleep. Tell us any incident we haven’t heard before on this.
We stay on the ninth floor and I used to walk in my sleep towards the big window in the hall. This frightened my parents so much that they ended up putting grills and started double locking the windows!
You’re cagey discussing the men in your life...
I never discuss my private life. Because once you talk about it, people stop focussing on your work and pay more attention to your personal affairs.
There were reports that you and cricketer Ishant Sharma were getting close...
It’s not true. I was just supporting SRK in the IPL where I met Ishant. I spoke to him a couple of times and the media just hyped it.
You had a huge Salman fixation when you were a kid. Have you outgrown that?
My all time favourite is Salman but recently, the new Khan on the block has caught my fancy. Yes, I am talking about Imran Khan.
Tell us about your mobile game you own/created...
I’m crazy about gaming. It was a great honour to be the Bollywood name on a video game. The game made on me is called Sam's Mission, a video game for mobile phones that includes special effects, fights and more. I play a warrior princess who has to fight savages in an ancient Indian city.
We’ve heard how Surya had to perch himself on a stool when shooting with you...
That’s not true... Surya did no such thing. My height was and never has been a problem. We have tall guys in the industry too.
You are still to break into the big league. Is this a conscious decision of playing it steady, slow and strategically?
I like to play challenging roles and I believe in playing it steady. And I have been accepted as a talented person. The Nagesh Kukunoor and Priyadarshan movies in my kitty are proof enough of my talent.
You’ve met George Clooney...
He is the most charming man I have ever met. I was completely stumped by his youthful exuberance and witty nature. We met at the Toronto festival and I had two movies being showcased at the festival and the best part is Clooney knew that. He complimented me for the same.
We have often heard of your Vijay Mallya connection. Are you related?
Yes, we are. But we are distantly related. He is my mom’s second cousin. I am very close to him because, like him, I too am crazy about cars and business.

Telugu Actress Silk Smitha Biography |
Silk Smitha (December 2, 1960 – September 23, 1996) was a South Indian cinema actress. Even though Smitha appeared in some character roles, she became popular through her glamourous appearances in softcore films.
Biography
Born Vijayalakshimi into a poor family in Eluru (in Andhra Pradesh), she left school after the fourth standard, determined to become a film star. Moving in with her aunt in Madras (then the centre of the South Indian film industry), she soon found a sponsor who renamed her Smitha. After garnering much notice and acclaim with her first major role, in the Tamil movie Vandi Chakkaram (The Wheel), in 1979, Smitha assumed the name "Silk," after her character's name in the movie.

Career
Silk Smitha went on to star in over 200 Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada and a few Hindi films. Her dance numbers and her bold performances in films like Moondru Mugam have made her the ultimate symbol of sensuality in Tamil, Kannada. Malayalam and Telugu cinema. Her item numbers in films like Amaran were also celebrated at the box office. Some film critics, historians and journalists have referred to her as a "soft porn" actress. One of her films, Layanam, has earned a cult status in the Indian adult film industry, and was remade as Reshma ki Jawani. Her most respected film is Moondram Pirai, remade as Sadma.
Death
In 1996, Smitha was found dead in her Chennai apartment. In the previous year she had tried to shift career in order to become a film producer. Financial problems and the loss of support among former friends and colleagues apparently led to depression. It is suspected that Smitha committed suicide.

Telugu Movie Chintakayala Ravi Review |
Telugu Movie Chintakayala Ravi Review
Cast: Venkatesh, Anushka, Mamta Mohandas and Others.
Art: Chinna.
Choreography: Raju Sundaram.
Cinematography: K. Ravindra Babu.
Dialogues: Kona Venkat.
Editing: Sreekar Prasad.
Lyrics: Chandrabose.
Music: Vishal-Shekhar.
Story, Screenplay & Direction: Yogesh.
Producer: Nallamalapu Srinivas (Bujji).
Presenter: Baby Bhavya.
Banner: Lakshmi Narasimha Productions.
Release Date: 2nd October, 2008.
Venkatesh and AnushkaPlot Chintakayla Ravi is not a software engineer in the US as his mother and the rest of his village believe. He works as a bar-tender at a dance bar conveniently called Cyber Wave. When his wedding is fixed to Mamidikayla Lavanya, he is in a fix as to what to tell the girl. Before the wedding, however, the girl's friend Sunita enquires about Ravi and finds out the truth and the match is cancelled and his family, except his mother, heartbroken. Ravi wants to make amends, tell the truth, but protect his mother from the shock.
Story, Screenplay and Direction A little bit of When Harry Met Sally, some Mister Bean gags, a final HAHK hangover, a tune or two from Vishal-Shekar's Hindi flicks, Hum Tum…the movie is full of seen-before, old wine in nice new package déjà vu. The title is interesting, Venky's new look generates even more interest (like it or not) and the music is decent. There is actually nothing new in the screenplay, with a mother sentiment running throughout the movie and Laxmi carrying on her Murari act (Whew!). Still, the movie is watchable, and what more, with all that effort, entertaining.
The freshness comes solely from the Americans talking in English. From New York through K. Ravindra Babu's lens and Venkatesh in a Junior Bachchan hip-hop's borrowed garb. The actors, including Brahmanandam, Venumadhav, Srinivas Reddy, Ajay, Ali (same role as in Chirutha, why?), Sunil and others are used well. There are some cameos, of known and unknown actors where Venkatesh graciously steps aside so they can take center-stage, from NTR in a song, Venu's brief appearance and others at New York.
The story is more or less believable. The screenplay is infused with alternating subtle and gag-filled humor. The theme is very urbane in spite of the initial village setting. Prakash Raj as the narrator is pretty good. Even though the movie is predictable, you can watch till the last frame-it's team work, but Venkatesh really carries it off.
Mamta Mohandas and VenkateshPerformances Venkatesh is effortless as Ravi. The role is basically tailor-made for him. He's unafraid to do the fool/loser/nice guy roles all rolled into one and still manages to look suave. Anushka does a good job, better than a host of other roles and movies she's been appearing in lately. Mamta is average. Laxmi hams slightly and Chandra Mohan is overshadowed by the rest. The supporting cast have been used well.
Music and Dance Lot of repeated tunes from the duo's earlier compilations. Nonetheless, it's pretty hummable and except for the last Om Shanti Om rehash in the background, the music is nice.
Last Word Same old stuff in shiny package. Lot of borrowed bits and pieces and very predictable. In spite of that, surprisingly, enjoyable.

Drona, a visual delight with high quality SFX |
The film tries to match international standards. The producers have spent over US $2 million on special effects of the film which was put in place by a team of 60 VFX experts in approximately 6 months.
Drona’s glossy visual effects are a result of a joint venture between the visual effects wizards from both India and Hollywood.
Director Goldie Behl had hired renowned VFX supervisor David Bush to work with Fireworks, an Indian visual effects company to deliver something that hasn’t been seen on Indian screens before.
“Drona is a magical adventure and to create this magical journey, director Goldie had set very high technical and quality requirements. Futureworks have finished the works in four thousand resolution, which is something very few films have been done in this particular fashion. I think its the first for the Indian cinema,” said the Director of Fireworks, Gaurav Gupta.
The special effects were achieved by taking different plates which had been shot separately. Some are shot on the green screen and some on live action plates. Then all of the plates were composited together to give the effect.
Bollywood's first magical adventure fantasy comes with a hefty budget of around Rupees 50 crore and the distributors are praying that it will spin some magic at the box office as well.
