'Complan girl' Ayesha Takia has turned 23. Here's look on her life so far.
Ayesha Takia was born in Mumbai to a Gujarati father, Nishit, and an Anglo-Indian mother, Faridah.
She attended St. Anthony's High School and but didn't go to college.
Ayesha has a younger sister Natasha.
She got married to Farhan Azmi on March 1, 2009, a restaurateur and the son of politician Abu Azmi, a Samajwadi party leader.
An animal lover Ayesha is also a supporter of PETA
Ayesha started her career at a very young age with the "I am a Complan Girl!" advertising campaign, along with Shahid Kapur.
At 15, she appeared in Falguni Pathak's Meri Chunar Udd Udd Jaye music video.
Ayesha appeared in DJ Aqeel's music video Shake it Daddy at the age of 16.

Her film Socha Na Tha ready in 2004 was finally released in March 2005. Ayesha shared the screen space with Abhay Deol.

Ayesha also appeared in the film Salaam-E-Ishq: A Tribute To Love in 2007. The film directed by Nikhil Advani also starred Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Akshaye Khanna, John Abraham, Vidya Balan, Govinda, Shannon Esra, Sohail Khan and Isha Koppikar in lead roles.
Ayesha did a cameo in the film Cash. The film also starred Ajay Devgan, Zayed Khan, Esha Deol, Ritesh Deshmukh, Dia Mirza and Suniel Shetty.
In 2009 Ayesha again got the chance to work with director Nagesh Kukunoor in his film 8 x 10 Tasveer. The film had Akshay Kumar opposite Ayesha.
In 2009, Ayesha delivered the biggest hit of the season Wanted. The film was directed by Prabhu Deva and starred superstar Salman Khan.
She will be next seen the film Paathshala opposite Shahid Kapur.
