Kundan (Dhanush) has been in love with Zoya (Sonam Kapoor) ever since he was eight.
At the age of 13, he confesses his love, but Zoya brushes it aside as a childish crush.

She goes to college in Delhi and meets and falls in love with a budding politician Akram (Abhay Deol).

But there are complications, and she returns to Benaras where she confesses her feelings to her 'friend' Kundan and asks for his help.

Singham' earns gross Rs 47.50 crore

New Delhi: After an impressive opening, Ajay Devgn starrer action thriller "Singham" generated good business during the weekend as well and grossed Rs.44.2 crore in domestic market and Rs.3.50 crore overseas.

Directed by Rohit Shetty and produced by Reliance Entertainment the film is a remake of Tamil blockbuster "Singham".

The movie also entered the list of top domestic weekends of all time and is at the 10th spot with Rs.30.93 crore as net collections.

"'Singham' is off to a wonderful start worldwide. The film received an overwhelming response from the audience over the weekend and we hope will continue its successful run all over the world in the weeks to overseas," said Sanjeev Lamba, CEO, Reliance Entertainment.

The film was released in 38 countries internationally on Friday and will be released in another 21 countries in its second phase.

Imran Khan moves-in with his fiancée Avantika

Mumbai: All set to wed, lovebirds Imran Khan and Avantika have taken their relationship to another level as they have moved-in together. The couple that will tie the knot in January has decided to live-in much before their marriage.

But it’s no pre-marriage trial that the duo is experimenting with. News has it that Imran’s bungalow is undergoing some major renovations and it’s for this reason that the actor and his mother Nuzhat have moved into Avantika’s home.

Confirming the news, Imran told a daily, “My bungalow belonged to my grandpa (late Nasir Hussain). The time had come to do it up all over again. It required a lot of repair for various reasons. The inside structure is being changed to a large extent. So, now I am staying at Avantika’s house.”

However, Imran aims to restore most of his grandfather’s belongings like his chair and desk. “I am putting them up in my office. I shall be using them. I will never do away with certain things, which are everlasting memories. My grandpa penned so many hit films sitting on that chair and using that desk to write,” adds the actor.

And for living with Avantika, the actor said “What I see in Avantika, I can’t see in any heroine I have worked with. I proposed to her first in our period of dating. It’s been nearly eight years now. It’s not early to get married. Weren’t many stars in Bollywood younger than me when they tied the knot in their respective lives?”

South star Trisha Krishnan is Akshay Kumar's girl now

Mumbai: South star Trisha Krishnan, who was launched by Priyadarshan seven years back, has reunited with the director for Khatta Meetha that also has Akshay Kumar in the lead.

“I’m ever thankful to Priyadarshan for launching me as acting just happened to me, by chance. I had no intention to join movies. My family was apprehensive as they come from a conservative family. But I think me getting into modelling and winning awards really opened a lot of doors for me as I happened to meet Priyan sir who had the confidence to take me on.”

Trisha is very excited about her foray into Bollywood. “There had been offers but I waited for a film that I had confidence to take on as I would be entering a totally new industry. So, when Priyan sir told me he wanted to cast me in Khatta Meetha, I had no doubts. I know he will take the best out of me. My heart will always be with South Indian cinema as I have my roots there and it has made me become what I’m today,” she adds.

The young actor, who is also a state award winner for acting, reveals to DNA where she thinks her sex appeal lies. “I’m versatile, experimental and I think I look it and I think that’s my biggest sex appeal, either in real life or in movies. I have done mainstream as well as off-beat cinema and I think people have loved me because of this nature of mine,” she says.

A single lady that she is, Trisha also whispers into our ear the qualities of a guy that can turn her on. “It’s strange but I don’t like conventionally good looking men. I don’t like very fair guys too. Intelligence and how a man talks to me is the thing that gets me going,” she signs off.

Sanjay Dutt to become father again!

The actor's beloved wife Maanyata Dutt is finally expecting her first child, if sources are to be believed. Friends who attended a film award event at Colombo with the Dutts spilled the beans reports Mumbai Mirror.

Dutt who married Maanyata three years ago had expressed his desire to become father again in various press interviews. His close friends also knew about his ardent desire for a child.

Though the Dutts don’t have a particular preference about having a son or a daughter, buzz is that Sanjay Dutt is hoping it’s a boy since he already has a daughter, Trishala.

It's an uncanny coincidence that just as Bipasha Basu announced her plans to join Twitter, an ad film featuring the bombshell sans clothes has surfaced on YouTube. The ad also features actor Vivek Oberoi.

The ad film was shot long time back as a part of an international assignment in 1999 when both the actors were working as models. It was a television commercial for the New York Lotto but was shot in India. The ad is directed by Ken Nahoum. The video is posted online by Tommy Kane, who was the art illustrator for this ad.

Mumbai Mirror quotes Bipasha's manager saying: "Bipasha had done this ad in 1999 when she was modelling for Ford Modelling Agency in New York. It was done as an international assignment and was meant for the international market. I don't know why such an old ad has surfaced now.

Everything said and done, Bipasha Basu and Vivek Oberoi share a wonderful chemistry in this ad.

KITES Released On MAY 21

Hrithik Roshan, the handsome hunk with Greek god physique who plays lead in Anurag Basu’s upcoming mega budget project, ‘Kites’, is a thief and law enforcement agencies are chasing him when he meets and falls for Barbara Mori ‘Natasha’ during this journey.

All is well between Barbara Mori and Sussanne Roshan!

All seems well between Hrithik Roshan's wife Sussanne and his "Kites" co-star Barbara Mori after the two actors were linked together last year.

Sussanne says "it's great" to have Barbara back in India.

"Hey...I have been busy entertaining our 'Kites' team. Barbara is finally here and it's great to have her back again! Full power 'Kites'!" Sussanne posted on her Twitter page Wednesday.

Barbara, who features as Hrithik's lover in Rakesh Roshan's "Kites", landed in India Monday for the promotion of the movie. But they are now heading to the Maldives for an ad shoot. Sussanne is also going with them.

"Tonight we are off to Maldives for a Provogue shoot..yay! I love the sea...so deep and yet calm on the surface. Can't wait to snorkel," she wrote.

Last year, it was rumoured that Sussanne had moved back into her parents' house with her two children after Hrithik’s alleged affair with Barbara. But Hrithik's father had dismissed these rumours then, saying they were "baseless".

It's finally confirmed. Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra will tie the knot on November 22. The wedding will surprisingly be devoid of the usual Bollywood friends and glitter. This comes as Shilpa and Raj arrived at a joint decision to keep the affair 'short and sweet'.

However, two days after the actual wedding reception, Shilpa will be hosting another party for colleagues from the industry. While the marriage itself is to be conducted at her business partner Kiran Bawa's farmhouse in Khandala. The venue of her wedding reception is still being kept under wraps.

Shilpa's sister who missed the engagement ceremony while being locked away in the Bigg Boss house apparently might also miss the wedding as the show isn't scheduled to end till the date. The only option is that she be evicted from the Bigg Boss house in time for her sister's wedding.

Salman Khan walked out with his girlfriend Katrina Kaif

Salman Khan is at it again! On Friday, 1.15 am, at Olive, a visibly high Salman Khan walked out with his girlfriend Katrina Kaif in tow.

However, instead of getting into the car with her, he chose to ride a rickshaw. And the funniest part is that Katrina Kaif trailed behind Salman in the car with the auto-driver sitting next to her!

A witness said, “Salman walked in with Katrina around midnight. They settled for a table in the private dining room. Salman ordered vodka and washed down five to six pegs. Katrina did not drink; she only had dinner. They were seen chatting and looked happy in each other’s company.”

After dinner, they left the restaurant and little did Kat know what was waiting for her. A highly tipsy Salman hailed an auto rickshaw instead of getting into the car with her.

Katrina, who has by now got used to Salman's autorickshaw drives, thought that it was time for yet another adventure trip. But sharing her seat with an auto driver was something she hadn’t bargained for. However, Salman, unaware of Kat’s discomfort, drove the rickshaw merrily. “He seemed very well-versed with the rickshaw controls,” said the source. This is not the first time that Salman has taken an autorickshaw ride in the dead of night. Good friend Govinda has often been a part of Sallu’s midnight adventures. Salman even rubbed off his love for driving autorickshaws onto Willard Carroll, who directed him in Marigold.

Aamir Khan launches Amitabh Bachchan's biography 'Bachchanalia'

Living legend Amitabh Bachchan’s biography, which has been penned by eminent film journalist Bhawana Somaya, was launched this Saturday by none other than superstar Aamir Khan. His family members including Abhishek and Aishwarya, got together for releasing 'Bachchanalia' and Aamir was invited as the guest of honour to launch the book.

At the event, Aamir was all praises for Big B. He said, "Often I find in this line that success is not directly proportionate to talent and hard work. But here is one case where it is certainly proportionate to the talent and hardwork Mr Bachchan has.”

While Aamir was truly appreciating Amitabh’s commendable work in cinema, Abhishek was flaunting his look for Mani Ratnam's film 'Ravana'. Nevertheless, both Abhishek and Aishwarya mentioned that they are more than glad to be a part of the event. They said, "As a family we are very proud and humbled by the gesture for the release of this book."

Enlightening the audience with his words at the function, Amitabh said, "It has been a wonderful experience. I am very happy that somebody has documented this. I feel obliged and honoured."

Earlier, Amitabh was not too keen to have someone penning his biography, but the actor later gave a ‘yes’ to Neville Tuli, founder of pioneering arts institution Osian’s, which already boasts of an auction house, archive and film house. Amitabh says, “Bachchanalia is very pictorial and boasts of vintage priceless poster designs. It’s very interestingly done with snippets of my films, and interesting trivia.”

Aamir, Shahrukh take up fight again

Though both Aamir Khan and Shahrukh Khan are busy in their individual life and commitments, they still in between their work are throwing tantrums on one another and pulling legs. If Aamir is busy promoting his next big release Ghajini then Shahrukh has already got a reason to be happy. His latest release Ran Ne Bana Di Jodi is doing a mind-blowing business worldwide.

When Aamir was promoting Ghajini in multiplexes, Shahrukh took a dig on him and said that there is no bigger brand than Shahrukh Khan. "I think it is a good strategy. You take the biggest brand in the country that is SRK and then use that platform to publicize yourself. I think Aamir rocks. The problem is that I cannot use any another brand because there is no one bigger than me," says King Khan.

Aamir counter attacked Shahrukh by saying that though Shahrukh is a great actor but he is scared to work with him.

Bollywood Stars to let their hair down

All roads leading to Versova will be jam packed on Thursday.

Reason? All the hunks of Bollywood — Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, Ajay Devgan, Ranbir Kapoor — will be steering their wheels towards their fave hairstylist Aalim’s new salon that opens up on that day.

The celebrity hairstylist already runs a salon in Bandra but his hi-fi clients find the drive too long. So, by popular demand, Aalim decided to open one in Versova, where most of the stars live. Another of his clients Abhishek Bachchan won’t be there for the opening but that’s not an issue at all, as Aalim will be flying to the south where the actor is shooting for Raavana, style his hair and fly back for the opening of his salon. It’s so much more easier for these hunks to let their hair down now, isn’t it?

"So maybe for my birthday, god will grant me romance and love. About time I got lucky in love," said Celina, who celebrated her birthday recently with destitute girls. Celina sponsors some of these poor girls and she threw a party for them. "I threw a birthday party for my girls. Nothing makes me happier than seeing them smile. Wish my family was here."

"So for me it was not a very happy birthday. My parents left Mumbai and my dog didn't take well to their absence. So she swallowed plastic. The entire day before my birthday the vet was trying to pull the plastic out of her throat. Not a very pleasant way to bring in my birthday."

However, the actress tried to cheer herself up by buying a BMW on her birthday. "I need that boost. I've been working hard and Golmaal Returns is a hit. So I need to indulge myself. I know a girl's best friend are diamonds. But she needs a posh car to get to the jewellery store. So a BMW! " said the actress.

Kareena Kapoor declines invite by British P.M.

She was also to be honored as an international ambassador and join the Silver Star charity that helps in spreading awareness about diabetes.

But Kareena who is busy shooting for Kambhakt Ishq with Akshay Kumar in Mumbai had to refuse the invite due to her hectic schedule.

Leading members from the political, business, arts and culture, and sports fields were present at the occasion.

Kareena Kapoor’s spokesperson was quoted by Bombay Times saying, “She was looking forward to attending this prestigious event, but had to opt out. However, Kareena intends joining the Silver Star charity and working closely with them soon.”

Bollywood Movie ' Rock On!! '' goes to the Oscars

This team is rocking internationally now. Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s Rock On directed by Abhishek Kapoor starring Farhan, Arjun Rampal, Luke Kenny and Purab Kohli, has made it to the Oscar Library. The film has garnered this prestigious honour from the Library of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the script will be part of the permanent script collection and will be made available for research to only actors, students, filmmakers and writers who are regular patrons.

Abhishek who has just come from Washington DC where the film was honoured at a recently concluded film festival Indian Vision, was in for a surprise when he got to know that his film has made it to the prestigious library. “Isn’t that great,” he asked. “When I conceptualised the film I knew that it was completely out of the box. And now it’s all out for the world to see. It feels really good,” said Abhishek. Ritesh too is beaming with joy. “I got an official letter from them stating that our film will be kept in their archives. It’s good that the world’s recognising Indian talent now,” said the young producer, who’s now ready with Zoya Akhtar’s Luck By Chance.
