Nayanthara agrees to expose liberally in Anamika?
Nayanthara is on a high now that her latest film Raja Rani has been declared a super-hit venture by trade pundits. Nayan wanted at least a decent showing of the film in box-office as she was making a ‘comeback’ of sorts with this film and the super-success of the film in which her looks and acting were appreciated have made Nayan very happy indeed.
She now plays the lead role of a protagonist in her upcoming bilingual film Anamika which is being made simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu by Sekhar Kammula. The film, as already reported, is the remake of Bollywood super-hit film Kahaani which released early last year and starred national award-winning actress Vidya Balan in the lead. The script of the film is about the story of a pregnant woman who goes in search of her missing husband.
Nayan, who has been offered a few crores to star in the film, is said to have agreed to do some ‘hot sequences’ in the film but has told Sekhar to ensure that the film fetches for her the elusive national award for ‘best actress’. Before Nayanthara, many leading heroines were approached to do the role but most of them refused as they didn’t want to be depicted as a ‘pregnant woman’ on-screen.
Kahaani won many awards after its release. Nayan, who is cooperating very well while shooting glamour-filled sequences, is said to be of the firm belief that the script and Sekhar’s narration of the story of a pregnant woman would fetch the much-needed national award. It is also said that some sequences were shot with only director and the cameraman on the sets as they were ‘too hot’.
